Baxter Village Adds Activities Director; 218 Homes
Sold Through
September 15, 2001
by: Tracy Hamm
With homes sales at Baxter Village in Fort Mill surpassing
200 through Sept. 15, the neighborhood has hired an activities director
whose responsibilities include planning and implementing community
and social activities for the Baxter Community Association.
Denise Boss, a veteran property management professional, has been
named activities director, a new position that reflects Baxter's
growth as a traditional neighborhood with a range of amenities,
including a new elementary school, structured wiring package in
each home, walking trails and a public library.
"Denise and I will be working very closely together on a long-term
plan that will help make Baxter even more lively," said Kerri
Robusto, director of marketing for Clear Springs Development Company,
Baxter's developer. "We are thrilled to have someone of her
immense talent on board."
In addition to being responsible for all community and social activities
for Baxter, Boss will assist in the formation of clubs and organizations
that foster community spirit and resident interaction. She also
will administer "Front Porches," Baxter's password-protected
community network.
"Denise is an important addition to our team as Baxter continues
to grow," Robusto said. "Not only is she our version of
the 'welcome wagon' for new residents, but she also works hard to
help all residents learn what Baxter has to offer."
Hired as Baxter's activities director by Capital Consultants Management
Corp. of Dallas, Texas, which manages Baxter's Homeowner's Association,
Boss said she was drawn to Fort Mill because of the town's similarities
with her hometown.
"When I relocated to the area, I was so drawn to Fort Mill
because of its small-town atmosphere and quaint feel, similar to
back home in Cooperstown, N.Y.," Boss said.
Baxter's newest phase of homebuilding offers single-family ranging
in size from 1,100 square feet to 4,000 square feet and are priced
from the $190s to the $400s. Builders are Saussy Burbank, David
Weekley Homes, Lillian Floyd Homes and S.E. Miller Construction.
In addition to single-family homes, Saussy Burbank is building 25
townhomes in the newest phase, and potential homebuyers can choose
from a range of floor plans that offer, for example, first-floor
master bedrooms. The townhomes range in size from 1,100 square feet
to 2,000 square feet and are priced from the $130s.
The Village of Baxter is a mixed-use neighborhood being developed
by Clear Springs Development Company. The 1,033-acre development
includes single-family homes and townhomes, as well as more than
400 acres of open space. Baxter also will include a medical complex
and retail and commercial development.
For more information on Baxter, call (803) 802-TOWN or toll free
(877) 570-HOME. The Baxter Information Center is located at the
neighborhood's main entrance off Highway 160 and Interstate 77 at
Exit 85.
