Newest Starbucks Location Opens in Village of Baxter’s Town Center
Fort Mill, SC - June 1, 2005
The Village of Baxter’s Town Center continues to attract new businesses to the Fort Mill area, including a brand new Starbucks coffeehouse. Starbucks’ Baxter location features a drive-through window for coffee enthusiasts on the go, as well as indoor and outdoor seating for a more relaxing experience.
Local java lovers aren’t the only ones excited about the national chain’s newest location. “We are excited to open our newest Starbucks coffeehouse in Fort Mill,” said Casper Yu, Starbucks Regional Marketing Specialist. “We hope to become an integral part of the community and a part of the daily routine of local residents, shoppers and neighbors.”
In keeping with the Village of Baxter’s unique architectural style, the new Starbucks building was designed in the Victorian style, complete with steep roof pitches and dramatic building lines. “The architecture was chosen to resemble the ‘edge of town’ buildings of the past that started out as residential, and were later converted to commercial/business space,” explains Dan Mummey, Residential/Commercial Manager for Clear Springs Development Company.
In addition to the new Starbucks, the Village of Baxter’s Town Center now features a wide variety of businesses including retail, restaurant, medical, and corporate, with more signing up each month. Baxter’s Market Street is now a thriving area that has become a gathering place for locals seeking great food, shopping, and more.
Baxter Village is a 1033-acre traditional neighborhood located off I-77 at exit 85. Baxter is now home to over 675 families, and is planned for over 650 more homesites. Baxter is also home to an on-site elementary school, public library, urgent care center, and over 500 acres of open areas.
