Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for Piedmont Urgent Care
at Baxter Village

Tenet Southern States Urgent Care Center Operations
and Clear Springs Development, LLC plan a ribbon cutting for Piedmont
Urgent Care Center at Baxter Village in Fort Mill on Tuesday, May
14 at 10 a.m. The Center is located on the corner of Sixth Baxter
Crossing and Sutton Road in Baxter Village. The 10,000 square foot
building will house both urgent care center space and space for
physician's offices.
Piedmont Healthcare System and Clear Springs Development Company,
LLC formed an alliance in 1999, which envisions a 130,000 square
foot healthcare campus in Baxter Village to be developed over the
next five years.
Charles Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont
Healthcare System in Rock Hill, a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare
Corporation said, "We are pleased to have been selected as
the health care provider for the Clear Springs Development Villages.
We have long recognized the importance of Fort Mill and the Village
of Baxter within our strategic plan. The Piedmont Health Services
campus in the Village of Baxter provides an excellent opportunity
to develop and expand upon our vision and mission for bringing health
and wellness services to the area."
"Piedmont's healthcare campus will be a great benefit for the
residents of Baxter and Fort Mill," said Don Killoren, CEO
of Clear Springs Development Company. "The campus will be close
to all Baxter residents, as well as conveniently located near Baxter's
Town Center and elementary school. We're very pleased to be working
with Piedmont and look forward to a long relationship."
The Urgent Care Center with eight treatment rooms will occupy 5,000
square feet and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through
Saturday and form 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Dr. David Stuver,
and experienced Internal Medicine Specialist, and physicians from
Tenet's other three Urgent Care Centers in the area will staff the
Center. The Center will provide industrial health services in addition
to urgent care.
The other 5,000 square feet will provide an opportunity for area
physicians to see patients at this site.
Suzanne Kozel, Director of Operations for the Urgent Care Centers
said, "Tenet's planning and development has centered around
identifying the needs of the community and bringing the resources
to meet this need. We are please to be able to serve the Fort Mill
area with needed Urgent Care Services."
