Baxter Village Wins Best Overall Community From The Home Builders Association of Charlotte

Homebuilding professionals from across the country have chosen Baxter Village as "Best Overall Community" as part of the Home Builders Association of Charlotte Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence awards program.

"In selecting its choice for 'Best Overall Community,' the judges were looking for neighborhoods that offered innovative home styles, as well as an overall sense of community," said Kerri Robusto, director of marketing for Clear Springs Development Company. "It is a very prestigious and highly contested award by communities throughout the Charlotte region."

Baxter was selected as "Best Overall Community" from among several entrants in the Charlotte region. Judges were sales and marketing executives in the new homes industry throughout the Southeast. The annual Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence awards, known as MAME, recognize outstanding marketing efforts by builders, developers and advertising agencies that are members of the Home Builders Association.

"Baxter is the epitome of a traditional neighborhood - front porches, sidewalks and abundant open space," Robusto said. "It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as 'Best Overall Community' by leading professionals in the homebuilding industry."

Clear Springs Development also won Gold awards for Best Developer, Best Information Center, Best Newsletter, Best Direct Mail Piece, Best Color Magazine Ad, Best Realtor Promotion, and Best Radio Spot. The Baxter community newsletter, "Front Porches", the direct mail piece, magazine ad and radio spot were produced by The Jewell Agency, a full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Charlotte. The direct mailer featured flower seeds with the headline "Pick Us". The color magazine ad positioned Baxter as a "Chip Off The Old Block", while the radio spot explained why Baxter is the "Perfect Neighborhood".

The Village of Baxter is a mixed-use neighborhood being developed by Clear Springs Development Company. The 1,033-acre development will include approximately 1,325 homes at build-out, as well as more than 500 acres of open space. Baxter also includes a public library, elementary school, medical campus, and retail and commercial development.

Modeled after small towns of the Southeast, Baxter's traditional architecture reflects the style and character of the Upcountry South Carolina region. Features such as front porches and abundant sidewalks orient activity to the front of homes, promoting a pedestrian-friendly community.
