Clear Springs Development Company Takes Home Seven
Gold Awards From Home Builders Association of Charlotte
May 24, 2001
Clear Springs Development Company has received
seven gold awards - including one for Best Developer - from the
Home Builders Association of Charlotte for overall marketing excellence
for Baxter Village in Fort Mill, S.C.
The annual Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence awards recognize
marketing excellence by builders, developers and advertising agencies
that are members of the Home Builders Association. Entries are judged
by homebuilding professionals from across the nation.
In winning Best Developer, Clear Springs Development was recognized
for its industry involvement, product development, general brokerage
relations, sales and marketing team relations, buyer relations and
overall success in marketing Baxter.
"We are thrilled that Baxter continues to receive recognition
as one of the leading neighborhoods in the region," said Kerri
Robusto, director of marketing for Clear Springs Development. "The
awards represent an effort by a team of professionals dedicated
to developing a thriving, cutting-edge community."
Clear Springs Development won gold awards for Best Developer, Best
Community Billboard, Best Community Newsletter, Best Black-and-White
Community Print Ad, Best Community Signage Program, Best Sales and
Information Center and Marketing Director of the Year.
The billboard and newsletter were designed and developed by Wray
Ward Laseter, a Charlotte-based advertising, public relations and
web marketing agency, while the black-and-white ad, community signage
and information center displays were created by The Jewell Agency
of Charlotte.
The billboard shows a Baxter streetscape with the tagline: "Sidewalks.
Front Porches. Cups of Sugar," while the black-and-white print
ad features neighborhood children with the headline: "You Simply
Won't Find a Neighborhood This Close."
The award for Best Newsletter was for "Front Porches,"
Baxter's community newsletter, while awards for best signage and
best information center were for, respectively, signs directing
automobile and foot traffic to Baxter and a series of information
center displays designed to convey the Baxter concept.
In addition to design awards, Kerri Robusto, marketing director
for Clear Springs Development Company, was named marketing director
of the year. Robusto was recognized for her professional and innovative
approach to developing marketing plans, providing solutions to marketing
challenges and achievement in marketing goals.
The 1,033-acre Village of Baxter, located approximately 20 minutes
from uptown Charlotte in the southwest quadrant of S.C. Highway
160 and Interstate 77 and developed on property owned by the Close
family, is a traditional neighborhood offering single family homes
and townhomes, as well as commercial sites and more than 400 acres
of open spaces.
Modeled after small towns of the Southeast, Baxter's traditional
architecture reflects the style and character of the Upcountry South
Carolina region. Features such as front porches and abundant sidewalks
orient activity to the front of homes, promoting a pedestrian-friendly
community.
