New restaurant to open in Baxter Town Center
April 24, 2003

Beef O'Brady's will expand its presence with its newest location in the Village of Baxter's Town Center. A family sports pub, Beef O'Brady's will be located in the north corner of Baxter's Springmaid Building, and is expected to open late this summer.

Founded in 1985 by Jim Mellody of Tampa, Florida, Beef O'Brady's began with the concept of a neighborhood pub where family and friends could gather for good food and sports in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. This concept fits perfectly with Village of Baxter's commitment to maintaining a neighborhood that features a traditional sense of community and family.

The Baxter location of Beef O'Brady's is owned by O'Neal and Donna Wheatley and owner/operating partners Ray and Phyllis Dunsmore. "We look forward to a prosperous, long-term relationship with Clear Springs Development Company LLC," said O'Neal Wheatley. Beef O'Brady's is also open locally in Charlotte and Rock Hill.

Over 200 homes will be built within a five minute walk of Market Street, the core street through Baxter Town Center. Market Street will include roughly 130,000 of Baxter's total 500,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and commercial space, in addition to an existing public library, Neighborhood Information Center, an elementary school, and an Urgent Care Center.

Clear Springs Development Company specializes in commercial and residential project development. Home to the new Town Center, the Village of Baxter is a 1033-acre traditional neighborhood that blends the architectural charm and sense of community of the past with the technology and convenience of today. Located off Interstate 77 at Exit 85, Baxter will feature over 1,300 homesites at build-out.
