Baxter Treats Area
Realtors to a "Day at the Derby".
April 22, 2003
The Baxter Derby Days Grand Opening party got off
to a running start on Thursday, April 3 at Baxter Village. Area
Realtors were invited to Baxter to enjoy a "day at the derby",
which included lunch, entertainment and prizes. Each Realtor received
$3,000 in "funny money" to bet on their favorite horses,
which sported names such as "Run Tate Run", "Century
21 Tradition", "ReMax Attack", "ERA is A-OK"
and more.
Realtors had the opportunity to earn additional betting
money by visiting Baxter's four new model homes by builders David
Weekley, Saussy Burbank, Miller Classic Homes and D.R. Horton. Realtors
took bus tours through the neighborhood to view the new Urgent Care
Center, YMCA site, elementary school, Town Center, Library, and
over 380 homes. "The event gave Realtors a great opportunity
to see all of the progress at Baxter. It was fun to see everyone
having such a great time," says Kerri Robusto, Marketing Director
for Baxter.
All winnings from the races were used in the drawing
for the Grand Prize: a Las Vegas vacation. Nancy Kerstein of Richardson
Realty Group walked away with the Grand Prize. "Baxter congratulates
Nancy and would like to thank everyone who came out for this fun
event," says Robusto.
