Baxter Village Honored
With 7 Awards From National Association of Home Builders

Proving again that Baxter Village is a leader in the
home building industry, the local community received national recognition
for another year of innovation. The National Association of Home
Builders (NAHB) presented Baxter with 7 awards, including the Silver
National Award for Best Logo. All Silver Finalist will compete for
the Gold, which will be presented by the National Sales and Marketing
Council at the International Builders' Show on January 19, 2004
in Las Vegas.
As the top vote recipient for the region, which includes Maryland,
West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, Baxter
was also recognized with six additional awards. Baxter's Regional
Awards included Best Ad Campaign and Best Color Ad for a Master
Plan Community, for the neighborhood's "Chip Off The Old Block"
campaign. The ad focused on Baxter's uniquely modern approach of
blending the charm and sense of community of the past with the technology
and amenities of the future. Baxter also won awards for Best Information
Center and Best Model Complex Landscape Design.
In addition, David Weekley Homes won the National Silver Award for
their Baxter model home "Sandia" design, in the Best Single-Family
Home Under $250,000 category. The "Sandia" design also
captured the Regional Award for Best Interior Merchandising Under
$250,000.
"It's such an honor to be recognized by your peers, and this
industry recognition has really put Baxter on the national radar",
said Kerri Robusto, Marketing Director for Clear Springs Development
Company, developers of Baxter Village. "Baxter has become a
place that people want to be a part of because of these accomplishments."
Baxter Village is a 1033-acre traditional neighborhood in Fort Mill
located off I-77 at exit 85. Baxter is currently home to over 500
families with at least 800 more home sites planned and under development.
Baxter also features an on-site elementary school, public library,
urgent care center, a YMCA under construction and over 500 acres
of open areas.
