Kerri Robusto Named Director of Marketing For Clear
Springs Development Company
October 19, 1998
Kerri Rubusto has been named director of marketing for Clear Springs
Development Company, which is creating the Village of Baxter, a
new residential community being developed on property owned by the
Close family in Fort Mill, S.C.
Rubusto will have overall marketing responsibilities for the Village
of Baxter, including marketing communications, advertising, public
relations and special events. She reports to Clear Springs President
James Traynor.
Prior to joining Clear Springs Development, Rubusto was an advertising
and marketing consultant for the Greater Charlotte New Home Guide.
She also has served as regional marketing manager for David Weekley
Homes, where she was responsible for all marketing efforts for the
national new home builder in Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, S.C.,
and Nashville, Tenn.
Rubusto transferred to Charlotte from Houston, Texas, with David
Weekley Homes in January 1997. She received a bachelor's degree
in business administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas,
where she double majored in marketing and real estate.
Rubusto is a member of the Junior League of Charlotte, the Sales
and Marketing Council of Charlotte, the SMC Board of Directors,
the Charlotte Chamber Relocation Council and the HBA Women's Council.
She also is the 1998 co-chair for the MAME Awards of the HBAC and
served on the 1998 Parade of Homes Committee.
The 950-acre Village of Baxter, located 20 minutes from uptown Charlotte
in the southwest quadrant of S.C. Highway 160 and Interstate 77,
is a traditional neighborhood offering single family homes and townhouses,
as well as commercial sites and more than 400 acres of open spaces.
Modeled after small towns of the Southeast, Baxter's traditional
architecture will reflect the style and character of the upcountry
South Carolina region. Features such as front porches, abundant
sidewalks and narrower streets will orient activity to the front
of homes, promoting a pedestrian-friendly community.
