When you live in Baxter, your playroom is more than just the extra space over the garage.  You can play in the many parks and miles of trails.  With the kinds of slides and swings and playground equipment you remember from your childhood, Shady Grove Park offers hours of retro-style fun.  Or meet at one of the many greens to toss a Frisbee or play a game of tag.  Hang in the shade at Allison Park since it sits among towering pines and old oak trees.  If those don’t suit, don’t worry, there are several other ‘active’ parks, and dozens of smaller quant pocket-parks throughout the village.  With over 500 acres of woods, trails and parks, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere in your own backyard.
